Why

I worked on an internal passion project for Punchcut in-between client work. I wanted to learn more about artificial intelligence and machine learning, so I applied to our workplace. I delivered an insights and opportunities presentation and google sheet outlining where cognitive automation can live within the company, leaving more time for the work we want to do. Gotta love efficiency.

I spend more time responding to emails and finding meeting rooms than desigining.

Interviews

I talked to folks with a variety of roles in the company to get an idea of daily tasks, pain points, and successes. I wrote all of their tasks on post-its and created an affinity diagram. This helped to identify common tasks between employees that were time consuming or frustrating.

Personas and Journey Maps

How

Focusing on highly frustrating or time consuming tasks that more than one persona experienced, I identified areas of opportunity. I created and moderated workshop for employees to generate ideas around these areas of opportunity.

What

Opportunity visuals along with a living google sheet that identifies areas to include automation and the ideas employees generated around that. It’s a jumping off point for future employees to add skills to Punchcut’s existing internal Ai tool.
